Since Rumi originally composed in Persian, all translations of Rumi's poetry into world languages are copyrighted. We have been offering rights to Rumi poems and quotes in English and other languages since 1992. We advise you to contact us for all requests for quoting Rumi or using any content on Rumi Network website or for contents from Valentino St. Germain's (Shahram Shiva) various books, editorials and music. In some cases there are no fees associated with granting rights, hence we encourage you to ask for permission.

Please provide a brief overview of your project. If it's a new book, please provide the title and the publisher (or self-published) with a very brief description. For other mediums, such as stage, music, film, TV, streaming, apps or video, please provide brief project overview.

Please provide all of the copyrighted text needing the rights. We do not offer blanket or general rights to content, nor do we offer rights by title of articles or poems. Full text of the content that you are requesting the rights for must be provided. For a few years in early 2000's Rumi became the most widely read poet in America. Mr. Shiva says, "I began translating Rumi in 1988, and publishing, sharing and performing his poetry in 1991. I never thought that he would become so popular in the West in such a short time." Due to Rumi's sudden popularity in the US, publishers rushed to put out any book with Rumi in the title.
